The end of this November witnessed the unveiling ceremony of Scania Rugao Manufacturing Base, marking the establishment of Scania’s 3rd manufacturing base around the world. Scania boasts the “King of Roads” in the world’s commercial vehicle industry.

Scania, a member of TRATON SE, is the commercial vehicle subsidiary of Germany Volkswagen Group. It offers the world’s leading heavy trucks, large buses and coaches, as well as industrial and marine engines and related service for customers in more than 100 countries,

Scania intended to invest in the construction of a manufacturing base with an annual output of 50,000 commercial vehicles in Rugao by acquiring 100% of equity in Nantong Gaokai Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. The manufacturing base is scheduled to be put into production in 2022.
